GMO Labeling: Dark Act Rising - GMO Truth Podcast #8

The US House of Representatives passed HR 1599, “The Safe and Accurate Food Labeling Act of 2015”, on July 23, 2015. Opponents nicknamed the legislation the DARK Act (Deny Americans the Right to Know), because the act was written to prevent 3 already-passed state labeling laws from ever taking effect (and any other potential state labeling laws), and to prevent any mandatory GMO labeling whatsoever in the United States.

In GMO Truth #8, after sitting through over 4 hours of hearings and reading HR 1599 in its entirety, we’ll dig into what concerns it raises, discuss the disappointing behavior of our elected officials, and at the end, we’ll reveal a new way that you can help resolve the GMO controversy yourself as well.
